West Northants is a thriving hub of innovation and excellence, home to numerous businesses that have been recognised with prestigious King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, a series of awards recognising and celebrating outstanding achievements by UK businesses. Let’s take a closer look at some of the remarkable businesses in West Northants that have earned these accolades, including the latest winners of 2025!

2025 WINNERS

Enovation Consulting are based at the Silverstone Innovation Centre here in West Northants and were presented the accolade for excellence in International Trade for continuous growth. They deliver creative and innovative research-based solutions, allowing their clients to integrate sustainability into their business strategies. They have worked with big names including Silverstone, Sauber Motorsport, and Motorsport UK.

Sol Retail (Stephensons Online Ltd), based in Northampton, also received the accolade for excellence in International Trade for continuous growth. They propel and manage brands across diverse online marketplaces. For over 13 years, Sol Retail has worked with 120+ global beauty and wellness brands, collaborating to expand, oversee, and maintain control of their brands within digital spaces.

Ziggurat XYZ, based in Northampton, also received the accolade for excellence in International Trade for continuous growth. They provide talent representation and a variety of resources tailored to each creator’s potential, enabling them to focus on achieving their goals, not just growth. Ziggurat XYZ have clients across 12 countries and have launched bestselling books, launched million dollar products, produced television programmes and lots more.

PAST WINNERS

Viridian Nutrition, based in Daventry, received the accolade for excellence in International Trade for continuous growth in 2023. They are an independent family owned company founded in 1999. They are on a mission to make supplements with a lasting difference – a difference to your health, a difference to the planet and a difference to local communities.

Brian James Trailers, based in Daventry, also received the accolade for excellence in International Trade for continuous growth in 2023. They were also presented with a Queen’s Award in the International Trade category in 2018. They were initially focused on motorsport trailers, where performance and reliability are key, but have used their experience to gradually broaden their product range to include trailers for plant machinery such as mini-diggers, dumpers and scissor-lifts.

Diamond Hard Surfaces Ltd, based on the Caswell Science & Technology Park in Towcester, were honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2022. They specialise in advanced materials technology, providing innovative solutions for high-endurance applications using their unique, patented amorphous diamond material, Adm™. 

Bambino Mio, based in Northampton, received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2022 for Sustainable Development as well as previously being awarded the International Trade Award in 2020. They are leading a Reusable Revolution to free the world of single-use nappies, once and for all.

J&J Global Fulfillment, based in Northampton, won a Queen’s Award in 2020 for Enterprise in the field of International Trade, following a 1700% increase in export revenues over the previous five years. It’s the second time they had received the accolade, having won in the field of Innovation in 2016.

Goodwill Solutions CIC, based in Northampton, won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of “Promoting Opportunity” in 2020. The award recognised their work in providing support and opportunities for disadvantaged individuals across Northamptonshire. They are a social enterprise that operates as a commercial business while also delivering positive social impact.
